Today’s mortgage rate averages

National average rates from Mortgage News Daily’s Daily Rate Survey, updated each business day. They show where the market is, not the rate you would be offered.

Rates shown are published by Mortgage News Daily (MND’s Daily Rate Survey) and appear here in MND’s own widget. If the table doesn’t load, see today’s survey on MND’s site.

What the averages mean for you

The averages are a good way to see which way rates are moving. Your own rate can be higher or lower, depending on your credit, down payment, loan amount and type, the property, and whether you pay points.

Brian can price your loan with your own numbers and walk you through the rate, the APR, and your cash to close.

These rate averages are published by Mortgage News Daily for general information. They are not an advertisement or quote of rates available from Fine Home Loan or Weber Mortgage, NMLS #219938, and they do not include APR. Rates change daily and depend on credit, loan amount, property, and other factors. Not a commitment to lend.

Questions people ask

About these rates

Where do these rates come from?

They are national averages from Mortgage News Daily's Daily Rate Survey (MND), shown in MND's own widget and updated each business day. The widget also shows Freddie Mac's weekly survey for comparison.

Is this the rate I would get?

Not necessarily. These are market averages, not a quote or an offer from Fine Home Loan or Weber Mortgage. Your rate depends on your credit, down payment, loan amount and type, the property, and whether you pay points. Brian can price your loan with your own numbers.

Why don't these rates show an APR?

The averages measure interest rates only. An APR also includes lender fees and other finance charges, so it is usually a little higher. Your Loan Estimate shows both the rate and the APR for your loan.
